What Will Jesus Look Like When He Returns? Will He Still Be in the Image of a Jew?

Revelation 3:11 says: “Behold, I come quickly….” Many brothers and sisters in the Lord read this verse and believe that when the Lord returns, He shall still descend among His sincere believers in the image and clothes of a Jew because He ascended to heaven in a Jewish image. Just as the Bible says: “You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11). We have waited for so many years, and now in the last days, prophecies of the return of the Lord have come true. However, none of us see the Lord Jesus arrive among us in the image of a Jew. We can’t help but wonder: Will the Lord really appear to us in a Jewish image when He returns? We ought to clarify this issue for this indeed, is with regard to the great matter of whether we can welcome the Lord’s return. Let’s look back on what kind of images God took when He appeared to man.

The Lord Jesus Is Not Only a Merciful God but a Wrathful God

Whenever we talk of the Lord Jesus, we all think of His abundant love for us; He personally came into the world to redeem mankind and was an innocent Man who was crucified upon the cross, and this act completely manifests His love for all mankind. The Bible says, “Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high has visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:78–79). Every Christian who accepts the Lord’s salvation enjoys the plentiful grace which He bestows on us and we experience the peace and joy He brings to us. Many people therefore believe that the Lord Jesus’ disposition is eternally loving and merciful.

Why Does the Lord Return in the Flesh as the Son of Man to Save People? This Is What God Says

God says, “God became flesh because the object of His work is not the spirit of Satan, or any incorporeal thing, but man, who is of the flesh and has been corrupted by Satan. It is precisely because the flesh of man has been corrupted that God has made fleshly man the object of His work; moreover, because man is the object of corruption, God has made man the only object of His work throughout all the stages of His salvation work. Man is a mortal being, is of flesh and blood, and God is the only One who can save man. In this way, God must become a flesh that possesses the same attributes as man in order to do His work, so that His work might achieve better effects. God must become flesh to do His work precisely because man is of the flesh, and incapable of overcoming sin or divesting himself of the flesh.

What’s the Way for the Coming of Jesus?

April 11, 2017

Sunny

Recently, I felt that there was no light at all when I read the Bible. Although I had kept praying every day all along, there was no moving in my spirit, and I felt as if the Lord hid His face from me and didn’t heed me. For in the past over ten years, my greatest wish was to be taken into the kingdom of heaven by the Lord when He returned; I feared that I would be abandoned when the Lord came.

Previously, I saw Matthew 24:30 and 26:64 and Mark 13:26 all said that the Lord would come upon a cloud. Especially when I read Revelation 1:7: “Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen,” I was certain that the Lord would descend on a cloud when He returned, and that all men would see Him. Therefore, I often prayed for this, asking the Lord not to abandon me when He came upon the cloud to take His believers. Several days before, I read Matthew 25:6: “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him.” It could be obviously seen from this verse that Jesus would come at midnight. Then I was somewhat worried in my heart: We might all fall asleep at that time, so how will we be able to know it when Jesus comes with clouds? I asked a sister next door, “In what way can we be watchful so as not to be abandoned by the Lord?” “The only way is to pray,” she replied. I was a little disappointed after hearing her words. I said to her, “I just want to know whether there’re other ways except praying.” She blinked and said nothing more.

Necessary Readings for Christians: How Should We Be Ready to Welcome the Lord’s Return?

By Da Zhao, China

Today, all kinds of disasters around the world grow ever worse, and many prophecies of the Lord’s return are basically fulfilled. We Christians are eagerly awaiting the Lord’s coming to rapture us. I think of the Lord Jesus’ words, “Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes” (Matthew 24:44). The Lord reminds us that we must soberly ready ourselves to welcome His return, but how exactly should we do this?

1. Learn to Hear the Lord’s Voice

John 3:16 – Verse Meaning – For God So Loved the World

Today’s Verse

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

-John 3:16

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
This verse is the basis by which many Christians believe in the Lord. We can see God’s great love for mankind from that. Looking back to the Old Testament Age of Law, the people’s sin became set in stone and they were not able to abide by the laws. If they continued like that, they would be stoned to death. So, God personally became flesh to come into this world and was nailed to the cross to redeem mankind from sin with His blood. Those who believed in the Lord are no longer of sin and have the opportunity to get the way of eternal life. We know that Jesus Christ spread the way of repentance. He preached, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Mat 4:17). Jesus requires people to confess his sins and repent, not to commit sins, not to do evil, to deny himself, take up the cross, and follow the Lord, to love the Lord with all his heart, his soul, and his mind, to love others as himself, with humility, forbearance and patience, and to forgive others seventy times seven and so on, which qualifies man to pray before God and fellowship with Him, and enjoy the bountiful grace given by God. Then how to gain the way of eternal life mentioned in this verse?

In What Way Will the Lord’s Return Happen in the Last Days?

Editor’s Note:
Many brothers and sisters think when the Lord returns, He will publicly appear to people riding on a white cloud in the form of His Spirit after He resurrected. Now, disasters have become a common occurrence all over the world, and the world is in a state of constant upheaval and turmoil. The prophecies about the coming of the Lord have been fulfilled, but why haven’t we welcomed the Lord’s return? How will the Lord appear to work? Please read this text to learn more.

How the Prophecy of the Lord Coming With Clouds Will Be Fulfilled
When some people testify that God has become flesh and done the judgment work in the last days, many brothers and sisters can’t accept it, thinking that when the Lord returns, He will come in the white clouds as the resurrected spiritual body and openly appear to man, and He can’t possibly come in the flesh as the Son of man, for the Bible says, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30). Now disasters have occurred frequently, and the four blood moons have appeared. The prophecies of the Lord’s return have basically come true, and the Lord must have returned, but why haven’t we welcomed Him? Is the view of “just waiting for the Lord to come in the clouds to rapture us into heaven” correct?
