“The Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross to absolve us of our sins so that we are no longer of sin and when He returns He’ll take us home to heaven. The time for Him to return is almost here, so we must wait watchfully, and read the sacred texts and confess often….” The Father stood at the pulpit happily preaching to us. Hearing this was invigorating for me and I resolved to follow God steadily, read the sacred texts and pray more, and then when the Lord returns He’d take me into the kingdom of heaven.
Verse 1 Oh God, no matter if I have status or not, I now understand myself. If my status is high, it’s because of Your elevation. If my status is low, it’s because of Your ordination.
Verse 2 Oh God, I don’t have choices, I don’t have complaints. Everything is in Your hands. You ordained that I would be born in this country, among this people, and I should only be obedient under Your dominion.
This verse teaches us: Be just and honorable when doing things. Do not do shameful things. And do things not only in the sight of God, but also in the sight of men. This is a kind of practice of being honest. For example, when we do something wrong, we can say before God. But it won’t be easy for us to lay bare ourselves and admit that we are wrong before others. If we want to be an honest person approved by God, we should not only let God know our actions and deeds, but we should also lay ourselves open to others.
After my arrival in America, what impressed me most were many towering churches and neat rows of European-style houses. Many kinds of flowers were planted in the yard of these houses. Many small ceramic animals were placed on small lawns, and they were lifelike and cute.
I heard a friend say that the main reason why America is especially rich and powerful is that Americans worship God and have His blessings. “IN GOD WE TRUST” was even printed on their money. I was drawn to my friend’s narration deeply, and I felt that it was a great thing to believe in God and have God’s blessings. Therefore, I went to his church and believed in the Lord after him.
At first, I was especially enthusiastic. I seriously read the Bible and attended gatherings. Besides, I often watched Christian videos and listened to sermons online. Gradually, I understood that the Lord Jesus had not only atoned for mankind by being crucified but given them greater blessings and promises—to enter the kingdom of heaven and to receive eternal life. Pondering God’s love, I was often moved to tears. So, I worked harder in my pursuit, strictly observed the Lord’s teachings and acted according to His words.
Believing in the True God, My Heart Is Filled With Peace and Joy
My family used to be Buddhist, but in 2004, we converted to belief in the Lord Jesus alongside my aunt. At that time, I realized that human beings were made by God, and that humanity’s survival to the present is due to the Lord Jesus’ crucifixion to redeem us, and I felt that the Lord’s love is truly great. In particular, I was moved when I saw missionaries preach the gospel, visit their brothers and sisters, and help their brothers and sisters in difficulties without asking recompense. So, I was baptized into a Christian. After believing in the Lord, I enjoyed reading the Bible and listening to sermons, and that was when I read the Bible verses, “For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation” (Romans 10:10). “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). I felt that the Lord gave us so much grace. Merely by believing in the Lord Jesus we could be called righteous, have our sins redeemed, and be raptured up to the kingdom of heaven when the Lord came. These were incredible blessings! I vowed to have faith to the end. No matter what environments I encountered, I would pray, read the Bible, and remain living before God. After that, I seriously read the Bible every day, actively took part in meetings, and my heart was filled with peace, joy, and confidence.
As it is recorded in the Bible, in the trials of losing his property and children, and being covered with sore boils all over his body, Job’s faith in God and reverence for God were never shaken. What’s more, he still praised God and bore testimony for God. Finally, because of his reverence for God, Job gained God’s praise and blessing, becoming an exemplar for later generations to emulate. However, have you thought about this? Since Job was so perfect and upright, and adored by people so much, why did God allow Satan to afflict him and subject him to such great trials?
Lin Bo’en is an old preacher who has believed in the Lord for many decades. Since accepting Almighty God, Christ of the last days, he was convicted, excluded, and expelled from the religious community by the pastors and elders, the antichrist forces. But even though Lin Bo’en was attacked, convicted, and framed, he did not shrink back in fear. Rather, his faith became more resolute than ever, and this led him to finally understand that the pastors and elders of the religious world were faking a virtuous appearance. At the same time, he came to know that only Christ is the truth, the way, and the life, and only Christ can save and purify and perfect man. Because of this, he was resolved to follow Christ, bear witness for Christ, and do his utmost to pursue the truth, to seek to transform his disposition so that he could become a true witness for God. Once the Chinese Communist Party discovered that Lin Bo’en was released from prison and had not changed, that he had not renounced his faith in the slightest bit and even believed in the Eastern Lightning, that he went everywhere to testify that the Lord Jesus has come again and that He is Almighty God, the CCP listed him as wanted and went everywhere to arrest him. Lin Bo’en was forced to leave his family, and in each place he testified to Almighty God’s work in the last days, he was able to lead a lot of sincere, good-natured believers to God’s side. Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Thoughts on Today’s Bible Verse:
I believe that every Christian brothers and sisters are familiar with this verse. But have we ever considered that how to follow the will of the Heavenly Father? When I began to develop faith in the Lord, I thought that as long as I accepted the salvation of the Lord, I would have a place in the heavenly kingdom. Recently, when I read the Bible, I noticed that the Lord said only those who follow the will of the Heavenly Father can enter the heavenly kingdom, and not everyone who calls out to the Lord can enter it. And I think so. Though many people believe in the Lord in name, they cannot put the Lord’s words into practice in real life. Sometimes, when something unpleasant happens to us, we will complain or do things relying on our hot blood. Sometimes, we only show forbearance and endurance to others outwardly, but we hate them in our hearts. What’s more, in order to protect our personal interests, we intrigue against one another and have jealousy and strife. Even many people attend meetings following forms, not for gaining the truth. They pursue the trend of the world, lusting for wealth and reputation, and focusing on eating, drinking, and having fun. The Bible says, “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries” (Heb 10:26-27). “…and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Heb 12:14). From these, we can understand that though we have been redeemed by Jesus, it does not mean that we are without sin for our sinful nature still exists. The Lord is holy. If we cannot achieve purification, we cannot become those who follow the will of God, and surely we cannot enter the heavenly kingdom. The Bible says, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1Pe 4:17). Obviously, the Lord will judge mankind. We need to accept God’s judgment and salvation in the last days. Only if we completely break free from sin and become those who are in line with God’s heart, will we be eligible to enter the heavenly kingdom.
That Sunday morning was just like any other as I opened my Bible and began my spiritual devotions, when I then saw Hebrews 9:28 that said: “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin to salvation.” Thinking about it carefully, I couldn’t help but feel confused. “That can’t be,” I thought. “Didn’t the Lord Jesus saying ‘It is finished’ upon the cross mean that God’s work to save man was totally finished? When the Lord returns, we can immediately enter heaven and will feast with the Lord, so how come this says that the Lord Jesus will appear again to save man when He returns? What on earth does it all mean?”
Zhong Xin is a preacher from a certain house church on the Chinese mainland. He has been a believer in the Lord for many years and has always suffered the arrests and persecution of the CCP. His hatred of the CCP runs deep, and he has long since seen clearly that the CCP is a satanic regime that sets itself against God. But in the face of the CCP government’s brutal repression and persecution of The Church of Almighty God, as well as the wild defiance and condemnation coming from the pastors and elders of the religious world, some people felt puzzled: The work of Almighty God is the true way, so why does it run up against the wild defiance and condemnation of the political power and the religious world? By reading the words of Almighty God, and by listening to the fellowships of those giving testimony in The Church of Almighty God, brothers and sisters understand the root cause of mankind’s defiance of God, they see clearly why the road to heaven is so perilous, and they come to have discernment about the truth-hating, God-opposing essence of the CCP’s satanic regime and the leaders of the religious world. People such as Zhong Xin have resolutely cast off the restraints and bonds of the influence of Satan, they have accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days, and they have truly returned before the throne of God.
