Understanding the True Meaning of “Salvation,” I Have a New Direction in My Belief

By Adi, Indonesia

In 2013, a Christian friend shared with me the gospel of the Lord Jesus. He told me that we all used to be sinners and that it was because the Lord Jesus redeemed us through crucifixion that our sins were forgiven. Moved by the Lord Jesus’ love, I happily accepted the gospel of the Lord Jesus. At that time, the elder often talked about these Bible verses to us: “That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation” (Romans 10:9–10). I was so happy to hear this and felt I had something to look forward to in my faith in the Lord. I believed that since I recognized the Lord’s name, I had been saved and would be taken into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returned. My wife, however, strongly opposed me because of our different beliefs, and she asked me to make a choice between the Lord Jesus and her. I thought: I have already been saved through my faith in the Lord. I mustn’t leave Him. So in the end I chose the Lord and my wife left me. Despite this, I didn’t become depressed but continued pursuing the truth and living my life in accordance with the creed of Christianity, and I also attended the fellowship and Bible study classes of our church. Not long after I started to believe in the Lord, I overcame my drinking problem which had beset me for years, and I felt very grateful to the Lord. In my free time from work, I would go everywhere praying for the sick with the elder, and visit and serve the brothers and sisters who were in need.

How to Avoid Being a Doubting Thomas in Welcoming the Lord

By Xinyu, Spain

We are now in the final phase of the last days, and at this crucial time of greeting the Lord, there is a growing sense of urgency in the hearts of Christians praying for the Lord Jesus to return. Many people anxiously hope for the Lord to come with clouds, but the great disasters will soon be upon us and we still haven’t seen the Lord coming with clouds. Why is that? Could it be that we have deviated in our practice to greet the Lord’s coming? This puts me in mind of Thomas in the Bible. While the Lord Jesus worked in the flesh, Thomas always harbored doubts, and in his heart he did not believe that the Lord Jesus was Christ. When Thomas heard that Jesus had resurrected, he still did not believe it. He had to see the Lord’s spiritual body with his own eyes before he would believe, and in the end the Lord pronounced His judgment: “[B]ecause you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). The story of Thomas is a warning to each and every one of us who yearn for the Lord to return. If we rely only on our eyes and do not seek the truth with regard to greeting the Lord, would we not be committing the same mistake as Thomas? If we did that, we would be apt to lose our chance to be caught up before the disasters. It is therefore clear that if we want to greet the Lord, then it is absolutely crucial that we understand the root cause of why Thomas failed in his faith in God and avoid walking the same mistaken path as Thomas! Let us fellowship and explore this issue below.

“The Mystery of Godliness” Clip 1: The Mystery of the Coming of the Son of Man

Speaking of the Lord’s return, the Lord Jesus said, “Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not” (Luke 12: 40). “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation”(Luke 17:24-25). These prophecies mention “the Son of man comes” or “the coming of the Son of man,” so what exactly is meant by “the coming of the Son of man”? In what way will the Lord Jesus make His return? This short film will disclose the truth to you.

3 Ways on How to Become Closer to God

By Qingxin

The Bible says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). As believers in God, we all know that building a normal relationship with God in order to get closer to God and receive more of the Holy Spirit’s work is crucial. In the fast-paced modern life, however, busy jobs, complicated relationships and evil social trends draw us in and occupy our hearts more and more, and they prevent us from quieting ourselves before God. This causes our relationship with God to become ever more distant and causes us to often feel empty and agitated in the depths of our souls. So how exactly can we establish a proper relationship with God and become closer to God? This is a very important issue put in front of each believer. Actually, we need only to grasp the three aspects below, and our relationship with God will grow closer.

First, withdraw our hearts from outside people, events, and things, often quiet ourselves before God and commune with Him.

Have you found the way into the kingdom of heaven?

How to enter the kingdom of heaven

There are old prophecies in the Bible concerning the path to stop sinning and enter into God’s kingdom. Let’s take a look and see what the Bible says. “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin to salvation” (Hebrews 9:28). “For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son. … And has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of man” (John 5:22–27). “He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). 1 Peter 4:17 says, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.” John 17:17 says, “Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth.” We can see from these verses that when the Lord returns in the last days, He will become flesh again to express the truth and perform the work of judgment beginning with God’s house. With the truth, He will judge and purify all who come before Him once and for all, and He will purify these people of their sins and make them fit to enter the kingdom of God—this is the salvation in the last days God has prepared for us. Only by accepting God’s salvation in the last days and undergoing His judgment can we be forever saved and become purified by God.

The Appearance of God Has Ushered in a New Age

The appearance of God brings a new era

God’s six-thousand-year plan of management is coming to an end, and the gate of the kingdom has already been opened to all those who seek His appearance. Dear brothers and sisters, what are you waiting for? What is it that you seek? Are you waiting for God to appear? Are you searching for His footprints? How one yearns for the appearance of God! And how difficult it is to find God’s footprints! In an age such as this, in a world such as this, what must we do to witness the day on which God appears? What must we do to keep pace with the footsteps of God? Questions of this kind are faced by all those who are waiting for God to appear. You have all considered them on more than one occasion—but with what outcome? Where does God appear? Where are God’s footprints? Have you got the answer? Many people would reply in this way: God appears among all those who follow Him and His footprints are in our midst; it’s that simple! Anyone can provide a formulaic answer, but do you understand what is meant by the appearance of God or His footprints? The appearance of God refers to His arrival on earth to do His work in person. With His own identity and disposition, and in the way that is innate to Him, He descends into mankind to conduct the work of initiating an age and ending an age. This kind of appearance is not a form of ceremony. It is not a sign, a picture, a miracle, or some kind of a grand vision, and even less is it a kind of religious process. It is a real and actual fact that can be touched and beheld by anyone. This kind of appearance is not for the sake of going through the motions, or for the sake of a short-term undertaking; it is, rather, for the sake of a stage of work in His management plan. The appearance of God is always meaningful and always bears some relation to His management plan. What is called “appearance” here is completely different from the kind of “appearance” in which God guides, leads, and enlightens man. God carries out a stage of His great work each time He reveals Himself. This work is different from that of any other age. It is unimaginable to man, and has never been experienced by man. It is work that starts a new age and concludes the old age, and it is a new and improved form of work for the salvation of mankind; moreover, it is work that brings mankind into the new age. This is what the appearance of God signifies.
