New Gospel Movie “Faith in God”: What Is True Faith in God?

Storyline

Yu Congguang preaches the gospel for the Church of Almighty God. While preaching the gospel, he was pursued by the Chinese Communist government. He fled to the mountains, where he received help from Zheng Xun, a co-worker of the local house church. When they first met each other, they felt like they had already known each other for a long time. Zheng Xun took Yu Congguang to the thatched shack where he and his co-workers gathered. There, a debate unfolded among Zheng Xun and his co-workers over whether or not a believer in God should obey those in power. Yu Congguang gave fellowship in light of this issue and dispelled their confusion. Yu Congguang’s fellowship was extremely helpful to them, and they all began to seek out and study Almighty God’s work of the last days. However, when Elder Sun from the local church learned that Yu Congguang was a witness from the Church of Almighty God, he did everything he possibly could to seal off the church and prevent the followers from seeking out the true way. Sun went door-to-door looking for Yu Congguang, and even mobilized the followers to report Yu to the police and arrest him …

So This Is How the Great White Throne Judgment Happens

By Witri, Indonesia

Editor’s Note: When the great white throne judgment prophesied in the Book of Revelation comes up, many brothers and sisters imagine that the Lord will come in the last days and be sitting on a great white throne, and then determine if people go up to heaven or down to hell based on what they’ve done. But is this how the prophecy will be fulfilled in reality? Witri gained a new understanding of the great white throne judgment through a period of investigation.

If No One Knew It When the Lord Has Come, How Would Someone Cry Out “the Bridegroom Comes”?

second coming of jesus

The Lord prophesied, “And, behold, I come quickly.” For two thousand years, all those who believe in the Lord have longed for the Lord’s return.
But when hearing someone testify that the Lord has returned, many people, based on the verse “But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 24:36), think that the Lord has not returned, because no one knows when the Lord will come. But is this view consistent with the Lord’s words? Is our such interpretation of the Lord’s words in line with the Lord’s will?

We’ve Gained Salvation Through Jesus Christ, So Can We Enter the Heavenly Kingdom?

By Xuesong

Editor’s Note: Many Christians believe that we have received the salvation of the cross and it means that we have been completely obtained by God, and so when the Lord returns we will be directly raptured into the kingdom of heaven. But have we ever considered whether our receiving the salvation of the cross means that our sinful nature has been completely eliminated and that we have been completely gained by God?

God’s Name May Change, but His Essence Will Never Change

Relevant Words of God:

There are those who say that God is immutable. That is correct, but it refers to the immutability of God’s disposition and substance. Changes in His name and work do not prove that His substance has altered; in other words, God will always be God, and this will never change. If you say that the work of God always stays the same, then would He be able to finish His six-thousand-year management plan? You merely know that God is forever unchanging, but do you know that God is always new and never old? If the work of God never changed, then could He have brought mankind to today? If God is immutable, then why is it that He has already done the work of two ages? His work is always progressing forward, and so His disposition is gradually revealed to man, and what is revealed is His inherent disposition. In the beginning, God’s disposition was hidden from man, He never openly revealed His disposition to man, and man had no knowledge of Him, so He used His work to gradually reveal His disposition to man, but this does not mean that His disposition changes in each age. It is not the case that God’s disposition is constantly changing because His will is always changing. Rather, because the work of God is carried out in different ages, His inherent disposition in its entirety is gradually revealed to man, so that man is able to know Him. But this is by no means proof that God originally has no particular disposition and His disposition has gradually changed with the passing of the ages—such belief is nonsense. God reveals to man His inherent, particular disposition, what He is, according to the passing of the ages. The work of a single age cannot express the entire disposition of God. And so, the words “God is always new and never old” are in reference to His work, and the words “God is immutable” are in regard to what God inherently has and is. Regardless, you cannot define the six-thousand-year work in one point, or portray it with mere static words. Such is the stupidity of man. God is not as simple as man imagines, and His work will not stop in one age. Jehovah, for example, will not always stand for the name of God; God also does His work under the name of Jesus, which is a symbol of how God’s work is always progressing forward.

Reverence for God – Sovereignty of God

Lin Hao

In the daytime, when gazing upon the heavens, we can see the bright blue sky, the rising sun and the rosy dawn. At night, sometimes the moon shines brightly, sometimes the crescent moon appears, and sometimes skies are full of stars, which are arranged and moving in their orbits in an orderly manner, without any disorder both in angles and in speeds. We can’t help but ask ourselves: How was the natural world formed? What mysteries does the infinite universe imply?

How to Welcome the Lord’s Return? Listen to the Utterances of the Holy Spirit

By Zheng Yan

Now is already the last days, and also the key time for welcoming the Lord’s return. Speaking of welcoming the Lord, many brothers and sisters know that it’s an important thing that pertains to whether or not we can be brought into the kingdom of heaven. Once we miss the chance, we shall regret it for the rest of our lives. Therefore, Sister Fang and I had a conversation about what is the most essential thing in welcoming the Lord’s return.

Discussion About the Rapture

Ye Zhiqiu

Wang Lan is an important co-worker of a certain Local Church. Seeing that the Lord Jesus didn’t come back in 2000, many brothers and sisters had become cold in faith and love since then, and didn’t attend meetings. Although she preached and worked everywhere out of courtesy, as a matter of fact she was extremely perplexed in her heart. The Lord Jesus didn’t come to rapture them in 2000. Was it because the Lord didn’t come or because they walked the wrong path and were abandoned by the Lord? She didn’t know. Furthermore, she didn’t dare to expose these questions either …

The co-worker Li Hua was always active and enthusiastic. However, all these times she had been absent from the meetings. In the afternoon, Wang Lan as well as Liu Yun visited Li Hua together.

They knocked on Li Hua’s door. Li Hua appeared somewhat gaunt. After an exchange of simple greetings, Li Hua spoke her innermost feelings confidentially, “Ah, Sister Wang, Sister Liu, in fact I don’t want to miss the meetings, but you know clearly the condition of the church now. Our church doesn’t have the Lord’s presence at all. I can’t feel the leading of the Lord. Even if I go to the meetings, I’ll listen to the same old sermons. It would be better to think to myself at home: Why don’t we have the presence and leading of the Lord? Over this period of time, I’ve kept on powdering this question. In my opinion, it seems that we followed man, took the wrong path, and were abandoned by the Holy Spirit. Otherwise, according to Brother Lin’s way of pursuit, we should be increasingly transformed and grow more and more confident. Moreover, the church shouldn’t be so desolate now. Don’t you think so?”

Whether We Can Gain God’s Mercy Depends on Whether We Truly Repent

True Repentance

Look back at the two sinful cities recorded in the Bible: Sodom and Nineveh. At that time, the people in these two cities had no place at all for God in their hearts. Their wickedness and corruption had already reached a degree detestable to both man and God. Thereby, they all were the objects that God decided to destroy. However, their different attitudes toward God’s warning brought them different fates and endings. The people of Sodom openly competed with God and did not have the slightest heart to repent to God. Their stubborn attitude of opposing God provoked God’s disposition, leading to their eternal destruction by God. On the contrary, after hearing the news from Jonah that God was going to destroy them in forty days, all of the people of Nineveh, from the king to the commoners, immediately wore sackcloth and ashes, repented and confessed their sins before God, and stopped doing evil things that oppose God. Their attitude of fearing God gained God’s mercy and forgiveness, so all the people of Nineveh survived because of their confession and repentance to God. From the different endings of Sodom and Nineveh, we can see that when we face God’s warning and work, whether we fear God and whether we have true repentance determine whether we can obtain God’s mercy and salvation.

When Jesus Returns, Will He Still Take the Name of “Jesus”?

By Xiang Guangming

As believers in the Lord, we all know that God’s name is Jehovah in the Old Testament, and Jesus in the New Testament. We also know that the Lord once prophesied that He will come again in the last days. So here is a question: Will the Lord still be called Jesus when He returns? I believe most brothers and sisters will answer yes, because it is said in the Bible, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8), and “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). On the basis of these verses, we think God’s name will never change and the Lord will still be called Jesus when He comes again. But is this view correct?
