What Should We Know of the Trinity?

By Chen Yan

Although many brothers and sisters in the Lord verbally acknowledge that there is only one God, who is unique, yet whom they pray to is the Trinity, that is, the God of three persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. In the imagination of man, the Father is the great and powerful Jehovah God in heaven who “wears the golden crown on His head, His clothing is pure white”; the Son is the Lord Jesus who could be crucified and serve as a sin offering for man; the Holy Spirit can move man’s heart, grasp all matters, enlighten and guide man. That is a Trinity who has distinct persons of different functions, and that the combination of Gods of three persons is a complete God Himself. Therefore, the majority of believers pray in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Then, are we right or wrong in this opinion? Does the “Trinity” make sense? We will fellowship about it.

How Exactly Will the Lord Appear to People Upon His Return?

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Mat 24:30). “Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him” (Rev 1:7).

Today, disasters are occurring with increasing severity and frequency. These signs indicate that the great disasters of the last days foretold in the Bible are about to begin. How can we gain God’s protection and survive amidst these disasters?

Bible Verses for Reference:

“Because you have kept the word of My patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come on all the world, to try them that dwell on the earth” (Rev 3:10).

“And I looked, and, see, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with Him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.” (Rev 14:1–5).

Can We Enter the Kingdom of Heaven If We Frequently Commit Sins?

Q: Can We Enter the Kingdom of Heaven If We Frequently Commit Sins?

A: There are some brothers and sisters who think, “The Lord Jesus’ sin offering is effective forever. No matter what sin we commit, as long as we confess and repent to the Lord, then we can obtain the Lord’s forgiveness and ultimately we will enter the kingdom of heaven.” But is this view really correct? Is there a basis for this view in God’s words? According to this view, it seems as though, once we believe in the Lord, there is nothing to worry about no matter how we may sin, for the Lord will always forgive us and the Lord Jesus’ sin offering is effective forever. If this is true, then how can the following verses be explained? “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries” (Hebrews 10:26–27). Besides, it is mentioned in Revelation, “[B]ehold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be” (Revelation 22:12). When the Lord returns, He will reward the good and punish the wicked depending on the actions and behavior of each individual. The Lord Jesus also prophesied that He will come in the last days to separate the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares, and the good servants from the wicked servants, and whether we will ultimately go to heaven or hell in our belief in God is directly linked to whether or not we practice the Lord’s words and follow the Lord’s way. According to our views, however, it seems as though we’re saying that the Lord will forgive us whether we follow His way or not and regardless of the sins we commit. Wouldn’t that make the Lord Jesus’ words “to give every man according as his work shall be” meaningless? Because they cling to this kind of view, many brothers and sisters pay no attention to putting the Lord’s words into practice or following the Lord’s commandments. They even become more and more degenerate, they shun the Lord more and more, and they live in a state of sinning and confessing from which they cannot escape. Does it accord with God’s will to go on that way? God says, “[Y]ou shall therefore be holy, for I am holy” (Leviticus 11:45). “Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the son stays ever” (John 8:34–35). The Bible also says, “For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and whoever loves and makes a lie” (Revelation 22:15). “For this you know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God” (Ephesians 5:5). We can understand from this that God is holy and that His righteous disposition brooks no offense. If we can never cast off the shackles of sin and frequently knowingly commit sin, then God will detest and reject us for sinning and resisting Him. We will forever be unable to enter the kingdom of heaven.

I No Longer Have Notions About God’s New Name! (I)

By Meng’ai, China

That year, when my family was building a house, there happened an accident which caused two people to be killed and two people to be injured. The sudden disaster made me unbearable and the high compensation also worsened the situation of us who were short of money. When I was at my hardest time and needed help most, my neighbor spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus to me and told me the story of the Lord Jesus’ crucifixion. I was deeply touched by the Lord’s love and I felt that only the Lord is my only reliance. To return the Lord’s love, I actively attended the gatherings and spread the gospel.

Christian Music Video “God Incarnate of the Last Days Mainly Does the Work of Words”

Incarnate God of the last days
ends the Age of Grace and speaks words which perfect and enlighten,
words which rid vague notions of God from the heart of man.
Jesus walked on a path that was different.
He did miracles and healed the sick,
preached the gospel of the kingdom of heaven,
and was crucified to redeem all people.
So man conceived a notion that this is how God will always be.
God incarnate of the last days fulfills and reveals all with words.
In His words you see what He is; in His words you see that He is God.

Does God Have A Fixed Name?

As to God’s name, it is a very important aspect of the truth. It is written in Exodus 3:15, “And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.” Exodus 6:2-3 says, “And God spoke to Moses, and said to him, I am the LORD: And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” These verses show that God did not have a name in the beginning. At that time, God was just called “God.” God only took the name “Jehovah” when He called Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. That is, God had the name Jehovah when He began the work of saving mankind.
