If we believers in God want to enter into the kingdom of heaven, we must walk the path of the cross since the Lord Jesus did this to set an example for us. However, in the last days some believers, when seeing or hearing that some Christians have been arrested and sent to jail, get extremely afraid and adopt a wrong state of mind. The author of the following article is one of them. Next, please read the article “Can Cowards Enter Into the Kingdom of Heaven?”

I stand before my God again today.
My heart has much to say when I see His lovely face.
I’ve left my wandering past behind me.
His word fills me with bliss and joy from His grace.
It’s God’s tender words that
water and nourish me to grow up.
It’s His stern words that encourage me to stand up again.
God, we sing to You today ’cause of Your blessings.
We give praise to You today because You’ve raised us.
Almighty true God who has loved us!
We love You! Oh God! We truly do!

I, who have believed in God for many years, had always thought that believing in God was following and often praying to Him for protection from disasters, receiving grace, and preaching the gospel and bearing witness to Him—I thought this was truly believing in God. However, I found recently that whenever encountering difficulties and adversities, I would have no faith in God, and even be full of misunderstanding and blame toward Him within. For instance, when I was ill and God didn’t remove my illness even though I prayed, my faith in Him would become weaker, until in the end I was even unwilling to pray at all; when encountering various hardships and frustrations in life, I often complained about God in my heart and thought that He should keep my family peaceful and not allow these unpleasant things to come upon me since I went to meetings regularly, prayed and read the Bible every day. And so, time after time, I was full of misunderstandings and complaints toward God. Not until then did I begin to examine myself: Am I a true Christian? Acting in this way, am I believing in God?

Sodom’s Corruption: Infuriating to Man, Enraging to God
On that night, Lot received two messengers from God and prepared a feast for them. After dining, before they had lain down, people from all over the city surrounded Lot’s residence and called out to Lot. The Scripture records them as saying, “Where are the men which came in to you this night? bring them out to us, that we may know them.” Who said these words? To whom were they spoken? These were the words of the people of Sodom, yelled outside Lot’s residence and meant for Lot. How does it feel to hear these words? Are you furious? Do these words sicken you? Are you simmering with rage? Do these words not reek of Satan? Through them, can you sense the evil and darkness in this city? Can you sense the cruelty and barbarity of these people’s behavior through their words? Can you sense the depth of their corruption through their behavior? Through the content of their speech, it is not difficult to see that their iniquitous nature and savage disposition had reached a level beyond their own control. Save for Lot, every last person in this city was no different from Satan; the mere sight of another person made these people want to harm and devour them…. These things not only give one a sense of the city’s ghastly and terrifying nature, as well as the aura of death around it; they also give one a sense of its iniquity and bloodiness.

BrBrothers and sisters, peace to you in the Lord. Today let’s fellowship about the truth regarding prayer. As is known to all believers in the Lord, prayer is indispensable to us followers. If a Christian does not pray, he does not deserve to be called a Christian. Through prayer we have faith to practice the Lord’s teachings; through prayer we are enlightened and guided by Him; through prayer our work and dedication can be after His heart; through prayer we can come out of weakness time and again; through prayer we can have enough strength to take up the cross and drink from the bitter cup…. Obviously, the entire life of a Christian cannot be separated from prayer. However, many believers say, “Why can’t my prayers obtain the Lord’s answer? Why does He not hear my prayers? Why can’t I feel His presence in my prayers?” If you have the same confusion, then it is likely that something is wrong with your prayers.

Each and every believer in the Lord wants to be a person after the Lord’s heart, wants to be an overcomer, one of the 144,000 victorious male-children. Speaking of the overcomers, some brothers and sisters would say: As long as we keep the Lord’s name, labor in work for Him, and stand testimony for Him in all kinds of persecutions and tribulations, we’ll be the overcomers and be raptured into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returns. Are these views right? What do the 144,000 victorious male-children,namely the 144,000 overcomers really refer to?

There are many people who testify on Facebook that the Lord has returned in the flesh. Facing this, some people who seek humbly have welcomed the Lord and followed in the footsteps of the Lamb. But some people think that the Lord’s return is by coming among the clouds and that any preaching that says the Lord has returned is definitely false, and thus they don’t seek or investigate.
