We Believers Are Saved by Grace, so Why Do We Still Need to Be Judged and Purified in the Last Days?

Question 2: The Lord Jesus was crucified as a sin offering to redeem mankind. We have accepted the Lord, and obtained salvation through His grace. Why do we still have to accept Almighty God’s work of judgment and purification in the last days?

English Christian Song | “All Mankind Should Worship God”

Verse
True belief in God is not about salvation,
or being a good person,
or just gaining a human likeness.
It’s more than faith that God exists.
It’s more than knowing that God is
the truth, the way, and the life,
and nothing more.

Does the Triune God Exist?

By Xinzhi

The Origin of the Trinity

For two thousand years, the entire religious community has believed that God is triune. For the Bible records, “And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending on him: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Mark 1:9-11). “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:18-19). “And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will”(Matthew 26:39). Therefore, we naturally believe God is triune and consists of the Holy Father, the Holy Son, and the Holy Spirit. They have different Persons and exist in one being. Thus, God is the only true Triune God. However, have we ever thought such questions? Since God is the only one true God, how can He be called the Trinity? Since there is only one God, why is He called triune? The Holy Father is God, the Holy Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is also God. In this case, is there three Gods or only one God? None can explain this clearly over two thousand years, and this is an unsolved mystery.

In Your Faith in God You Should Obey God

Why do you believe in God? Most people are confounded by this question. They always have two entirely different viewpoints about the practical God and the God in heaven, which shows that they believe in God not in order to obey Him, but to receive certain benefits, or to escape the suffering that disaster brings; only then are they somewhat obedient. Their obedience is conditional; it is for the sake of their own personal prospects, and forced upon them. So, just why do you believe in God? If it is solely for the sake of your prospects and your fate, then it would be better if you did not believe at all. Belief such as this is self-deception, self-reassurance, and self-admiration. If your faith is not built upon the foundation of obedience to God, then you will ultimately be punished for opposing Him. All those who do not seek obedience to God in their faith oppose Him. God asks that people seek the truth, that they thirst for His words, eat and drink His words, and put them into practice, so that they may achieve obedience to God. If these are your true intentions, then God will surely raise you up, and will surely be gracious toward you. This is undoubtable and unchangeable. If your intention is not to obey God, and you have other aims, then all that you say and do—your prayers before God, and even your every action—will be in opposition to Him. You may be soft-spoken and mild-mannered, your every action and expression may look proper, and you may appear to be one who obeys, but when it comes to your intentions and your views about faith in God, everything you do is in opposition to God; everything you do is evil. People who appear as obedient as sheep, but whose hearts harbor evil intentions, are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They directly offend God, and God will not spare a single one of them. The Holy Spirit will reveal each and every one of them and show everybody that all those who are hypocrites will, with certainty, be detested and rejected by the Holy Spirit. Worry not: God will reckon with and dispose of every last one of them in turn.

4 Useful Steps to Build a Strong Relationship With God

By Jingnian, the United States

God says: “[E]stablishing a good relationship with God is of the utmost importance to anyone who believes in God; everyone should regard it as a task of paramount importance and the biggest event in their life” (“How Is Your Relationship With God?”). We can see from God’s words that building a normal relationship with God in one’s faith in God is a truth of the utmost importance. If we wish to pursue God’s commendation and serve God’s will, only through building a normal relationship with God can these things be achieved. If we do not have a normal relationship with God, then we do not deserve to be called believers—that is why building a normal relationship with God is so important. So how are we to build a normal relationship with God? Below is a simple fellowship of the four principles.

“Blessed Are the Poor in Spirit” Clip 3 – How to Distinguish Between Being Saved and True Salvation

There are many in the religious world who believe that we believers in the Lord have had our sins absolved and are saved by His grace, and that we practice humility and patience, bearing our cross and having many good behaviors, so does this not mean that we have undergone a change? They believe that, if we can always pursue our faith in this way, then in the end we can be raptured and can enter the kingdom of heaven. Are the facts really like this? Can only having good behavior in our belief represent true salvation? What exactly is the difference between being saved and true salvation?

Heated Debate: What Are the Wise Virgins? What Are the Foolish Virgins?

By Jing Xin, China

Seeking Enthusiastically to Be a Wise Virgin

One night near dusk, Jia Nan sat beside a desk. Opening the Bible, he began to read, “Then shall the kingdom of One night near dusk, Jia Nan sat beside a desk. Opening the Bible, he began to read, “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened to ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut” (Matthew 25:1–10). After seeing these scriptures, Jia Nan thought that the Lord Jesus gave us a vivid metaphor to show what kind of people can enter into the kingdom of heaven. Those who take oil with them can welcome the bridegroom and are the wise virgins, but for others without oil, they are the foolish virgins and will be abandoned by the Lord. Jia Nan has always been determined to be a wise virgin to welcome the return of the Lord and attend the feast with Him.

A Commentary on Hebrews 13:2—What Does It Mean to Entertain Strangers With Love?

By Chen Hui

Early one morning, I sat by the window reading the Bible: “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares” (Hebrews 13:2). This verse tells us to entertain strangers with love, I thought. Since they are strangers, they must be people whom we don’t know, yet the pastor often tells us not to receive strangers by quoting the scriptures, “I marvel that you are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ to another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ” (Galatians 1:6–7). He says that as our statures are too small and we cannot distinguish, we should never receive any stranger who preaches the gospel. Ah, what exactly is the Lord’s will? What should I do? Should I receive the strangers who preach the gospel or not?

How to Gain Eternal Life by Believing in the Son

eternalBy Jingyuan

“The Lord Jesus said: ‘But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life’ (John 4:14). He also said: ‘He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God stays on him’ (John 3:36). These two verses make it very clear that the Lord Jesus is incarnate God, that is, the Son of man; He has the way of eternal life; and we can obtain eternal life as long as we believe in Him. So we firmly believe that we can surely obtain eternal life by believing in the Lord Jesus, praying in His name, attending meetings, reading the Bible, and working hard for the Lord. But in the last co-worker meeting Brother Zhang fellowshiped that such belief was not the true belief in the Son and that we were unable to gain eternal life in that way. Only those who gain the truth as their lives by practicing the Lord’s words and living out the reality of His words are true believers in the Son and can get eternal life. So I’m confused. Why is it that those who work hard for the Lord can’t obtain eternal life while only those who gain the truth as life can gain eternal life?” asked Chen Yang. This question was hanging over him, so he came to Brother Liu Chen’s to seek fellowship.
