Knowing Another Way of the Lord’s Return, You Will Welcome the Lord

More and more people are bearing witness online that the Lord has returned. Hearing this news, you may be puzzled: We haven’t seen the Lord descending upon clouds, how can you say that the Lord has returned?

In fact, through thoroughly studying the biblical scriptures of the Lord’s second advent, we can discover that the Bible includes not only the scriptures of the Lord’s advent with clouds but also the scriptures of the Lord’s secret coming as the Son of man. For example, “Behold, I come as a thief” (Revelation 16:15). “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6).. “Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes.” (Matthew 24:44). “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27). The phrases “come as a thief” and “at midnight” mentioned here refer to the Lord coming quietly, which is not easy for people to perceive. That’s to say, God will come secretly. And these prophecies mention “the Son of man” and “the Son of man comes”. This phrase the Son of man refers to One who is born to a human and has normal humanity. So the Spirit or the spiritual body can’t be called the Son of man. Therefore, when the Lord Jesus prophesied the Son of man and the Son of man comes, He was referring to God’s coming through incarnation in the last days.

Do You Know the Significance of God’s Name?

By Wang Xiao

When it comes to God’s name, some brothers and sisters say that God’s name is Jehovah, for it is written in the Bible: “Jehovah … is My name for ever, and this is My memorial to all generations” (Exodus 3:15), and some say that God is called Jesus, because the Bible records: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Some, however, have recently seen a verse from the Book of Revelation, chapter 1, verse 8: “I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, said the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty,” from which it can be seen that God will name Himself the Almighty. This confounds many people: Why does God’s name change? Why does God take these names? What’s the significance of God taking them?

Why Does God Judge Man in the Last Day? How Will He Judge Man?

By Li Li

One day, during my spiritual devotion, I saw the words of the Lord Jesus: “I am come a light into the world, that whoever believes on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:46–48). Pondering over this passage of scripture, I saw that the Lord’s will and demands of us are to have us follow His words in everything and do as He asked. In my mind, since the Lord Jesus has absolved our sins, we have already been saved by grace when accepting His salvation, and will be directly taken into the kingdom of heaven when He returns. But here, why did the Lord say whoever disobeyed His words would be judged in the last days? Why would the Lord judge us? I knew Sister Xiangguang was devout and received scriptures purely. She had just returned home after studying in another place. So I wanted to seek from her.

Wise Virgins Can Recognize the Voice of God

Dear Sister Muzhen,

Peace to you in the Lord! I’m very glad to receive your letter. In the letter, you mentioned that the Lord’s coming is near, so in order to be a wise virgin waiting for and welcoming the Lord’s return, you intentionally read the Bible and pray more, and work more for the Lord. But it doesn’t make you feel keen in spirit, or make your faith and love increase. You wonder whether you are a wise virgin by pursuing like this and are eager to know how to practice to welcome the coming of the Lord. Sister Muzhen, your question is very important for us Christians, because each and every one of us wants to be a wise virgin to welcome the Lord’s return, and finally attend the feast of the kingdom of heaven together with Him. None of us want to be a foolish virgin forsaken by the Lord. But, how should one practice to be a wise virgin? Regarding this issue, I’ll talk about my understanding. I hope it can be beneficial to you!

Is the Goal of Being Raptured Into the Air Achievable?

By Li Huan

Like many brothers and sisters who truly believe in the Lord, I have been longing for the second coming of Jesus, holding to the words in the Bible, “Then we which are alive and remain shall be raptured together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). Thus, we have been obsessively looking at the sky, yearning that a day will come when the Lord Jesus will take us into the clouds to meet with Him in the air, and then we can enter the kingdom of heaven and gain eternal life. Many years, however, have passed, and the signs of the second coming of Jesus have basically fulfilled, but we never see a believer be raptured to the heavens. It makes me wonder: Is this hope realistic? Does this word of Paul represent God’s will? If not, then aren’t we imaging it out of thin air? I have looked through the Bible, yet nothing of the kind that the Lord Jesus ever said was found. God is faithful, and He has said, “He is as good as His word, and His word shall be accomplished, and that which is accomplished lasts forever.” What God has promised will definitely be accomplished and fulfilled, as His word is the truth, the way. Now that the Lord Jesus never made such a statement, and man’s words cannot represent words of God, the Lord has His own will and plan on how to collect Christians into His kingdom when He comes back. Yet Paul was merely a man, a gospel-preaching apostle who had ever pursued the Lord Jesus and His disciples, and later was conquered after being blinded by the Lord’s great light. Even though Paul’s words were recorded in the Bible, and part of them were inspired by the Holy Spirit conformed to the truth, they were still not the words of God. What’s more, some of them were not the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit and had no basis in God’s words, but mostly originated from man’s notions and imaginations and were colored by the absurdity of man’s mind. That’s why we cannot take man’s words as the basis for receiving the second coming of Jesus. So, when seeking the issue “whether or not we can be raptured into the air,” we should use God’s words and His work in the Bible as the basis, which is in accord with God’s will.

Heeding God’s Voice Is the Key to Welcoming the Lord!

Selina: The last days are the critical moment to welcome the Lord’s return. We must watch and wait in greeting the Lord. Then, how can we watch and wait so as to welcome the Lord?

Jupo: The Lord Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). And it is mentioned many times in the Book of Revelation, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2-3). Herein, the Lord mentioned that we should “ask,” “seek,” “knock,” “hear God’s voice,” and “go out to meet Him.” This is to require that we focus on seeking and listening to God’s voice in welcoming the Lord! Only thus can we greet the Lord and go to the feast with Him.

If Baptism Means Being Reborn, Why Do Christians Still Sin?

By Cedric, Canada

When I was young, my father explained baptism to me. He said, “When someone is being baptized, they are fully submerged in water. That means they have ‘died’ with the Lord Jesus. After being pulled from the water, they are reborn, and they have completely broken away from the sins of the past, starting to have a new life. They will live for the Lord Jesus until they die. The Lord Jesus said, ‘He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned’ (Mark 16:16). The Lord Jesus was crucified for mankind as a sin offering. Only after we are baptized can our sins be forgiven by the Lord Jesus and are we under the name of the Lord Jesus with a new life. So, Christians must get baptized.” From then on, I believed that through baptism, Christians can be completely changed, reborn, saved, and be compatible with Christ.

Does “Once Being Saved” Mean “Always Being Saved”?

Meditations on Being Saved

Every brother and sister who genuinely believes in the Lord thinks they have been saved through their belief in the Lord Jesus, because the Bible records, “For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation” (Romans 10:10). So, many brothers and sisters in the Lord believe that “saved by faith” means they are saved forever. Then, does this view agree with God’s words and with the truth? Next, let’s fellowship about what exactly the real meaning of being saved is.

Disasters Happen Frequently: How to Welcome the Lord’s Return

With all kinds of disasters happening frequently now, it is imperative to know how to welcome the return of the Lord Jesus and accept God’s work in the last days. The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Rev 3:20). And the Bible prophesied, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches” (Rev 2:7).
