Each and every believer in the Lord wants to be a person after the Lord’s heart, wants to be an overcomer, one of the 144,000 victorious male-children. Speaking of the overcomers, some brothers and sisters would say: As long as we keep the Lord’s name, labor in work for Him, and stand testimony for Him in all kinds of persecutions and tribulations, we’ll be the overcomers and be raptured into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returns. Are these views right? What do the 144,000 victorious male-children,namely the 144,000 overcomers really refer to?

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.
1 Peter 4:17
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
This verse is the prophecy of God doing the work of judgment in the last days. Concerning the work of the judgment in the last days, Jesus Christ also prophesied, “He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). From these prophecies we can see when Jesus Christ comes in the last days, He will return to express the truth and do the work of judgment beginning from the house of God.

Now we learned about the true relationship between the Bible and God. The Bible is the Bible, God is God. They are different, and they can’t be thought of as the same. We should all hold God to be great and worship Him, obey Him, fear Him. We can’t use the Bible to replace Him. Man has blind faith in the Bible, seeing the Bible as equal to God. This is simply blasphemous to God. But since the Bible’s a record of God’s word and man’s testimony, why can’t we receive eternal life from reading the Bible? The Bible is a testimony to God’s work and has been so beneficial to mankind. Through reading the Bible, man comes to acknowledge God as the Creator of all things; he comes to learn of God’s omnipotence and deeds how great they are. So since the Bible contains God’s words, why is the way of eternal life not found in the Bible?

The sun was shining, white clouds were swimming in the blue sky, and the bright sunlight was filtering through the thick leaves. Under the grapevine trellis in a farmyard, Li Xundao and Li Meien, a father and daughter, were merrily talking, sitting at a stone table. The heartily laughter they gave now and then made the birds cheerfully chirp.
